LTE-Advanced gain traction in Australia, Asia

Backed by Ericsson gear, Australia's Telstra has completed live network tests employing an LTE-Advanced variation known as carrier aggregation that merged discrete parts of the electromagnetic spectrum. Telstra's efforts follow South Korea's SK Telecom's successful attempt to reach theoretical download speeds of 150 megabits per second in June and a follow-up by another Korean outfit, LG U+, in July.
