NLRB reaches full membership under Senate deal

The National Labor Relations Board has gained a full roster of five members after four appointees were sworn in on Monday. This marks the first time that the NLRB has five members confirmed by the Senate since 2003. The confirmation of the appointees was an outcome of a filibuster deal in the Senate, where Republican lawmakers vowed not to block nominees of President Barack Obama if he would drop two others whose appointments were declared unconstitutional by two federal appeals courts.
