Sen. Schumer: CBP should focus on reducing delays for U.S. travelers

Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., weighed in on the decision to open a Customs and Border Protection preclearance facility in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, while American travelers continue to wait in long lines. "Customs and Border Patrol should be doing everything possible to reduce delays for American travelers and American-based airlines. We should be taking a hard look to see if this facility is the most effective and efficient way to achieve that goal, and act accordingly," Schumer said.
