Slideshow: Work underway to replace $1.3B pipeline in Mich.

Enbridge Energy started last month on the second phase of replacing Line 6B, a 210-mile crude-oil pipeline in Michigan. By year's end, some 1,200 pipeline construction workers will bury thousands of 72-foot steel tubes for the $1.3 billion project, which is expected to be operational by mid-2014.
