University of Washington to gain palliative training center

The Cambia Health Foundation gave the University of Washington a $697,000 grant to create a palliative care training center, which the school said would include an interdisciplinary curriculum. Dr. Stuart Farber of the university's Palliative Care Center of Excellence said the grant will help provide a "uniformly high standard of palliative care practice through out the state of Washington."
