Microsoft launched its first website in 1994 and has brought back the original with poor font choices, low-resolution GIFs and a series of other choices that show what the Web was like before design was considered. The Web began to change quickly the following year with the arrival of Internet Explorer, but this site can provide a look at how far the industry has come, writes John Brownlee.
