Dismissal of pain-pump lawsuit against 4 medtech firms upheld

A lower court's decision to dismiss a whistleblower lawsuit filed against Stryker, DJO Global, Orthofix and I-Flow has been upheld by a federal appeals court. The lawsuit stems from allegations made by a Florida-based surgeon that the companies explicitly marketed pain therapy pumps for unapproved orthopedic applications.
