FCC is likely to vote on ending sports blackout rules this fall

Federal Communications Commission member Ajit Pai is joining the call for the agency to end sports blackout rules, saying "there is no reason" for the FCC to be involved in teams' "private interests." FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler has indicated a vote could be taken on the rule by "early fall."
