Report: Nearly 10% of total U.K. drug costs spent on diabetes meds

A report by the Health and Social Care Information Centre found that the National Health Service in the U.K. spent about $3.7 million daily on prescriptions to manage diabetes in primary care in 2013 to 2014. The illness accounted for nearly 10% of drug costs and is one of England's most widespread life-threatening diseases, HSCIC Chairman Kingsley Manning said.
