Rex Energy reaches $120M deal to acquire assets from Shell affiliate

Rex Energy said Tuesday that it has entered into a $120 million deal to purchase a 100% stake in approximately 208,000 gross acres of liquids-rich assets across six counties in Pennsylvania from Royal Dutch Shell affiliate Swepi. The assets being acquired also include some properties in Ohio and wells having a projected production level of 13 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. The agreement is expected to be completed in September.
