Study: UC patients respond differently to dietary changes

People with ulcerative colitis may not respond to dietary measures the same way healthy people do because their gut microbiome functions abnormally, according to Australian researchers. The study, published on the website of the journal Gut, found that UC patients do not get the same benefits from dietary wheat bran and resistant starch that healthy people get.
