TSA chief orders broad review of airline security

The head of the Transportation Security Administration has called for a broad review of the air security system. Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security Edmund S. "Kip" Hawley said the review may result in changes to the way the TSA screens travelers. His staff already has made recommendations in an Aug. 5 document, and TSA officials will meet later this month to consider the proposals, which include lifting the ban on scissors, razor blades and knives.
