Gay foster parents can help troubled LGBT youth

A Houston counseling center has begun recruiting gay and gay-friendly foster parents to provide potential homes for LGBT youth in the city's foster care system. The effort is part of a national trend by social services agencies, particularly those in major cities, to seek out foster parents who understand the issues concerning LGBT youth.
