Microsoft: White space device failed because it was broken

Microsoft officials are claiming that a prototype device designed to deliver high-speed Internet connections over the "white space" of unoccupied TV spectrum failed FCC tests because it was broken. The FCC recently revealed results of a test that showed the device could possibly interfere with approved uses of the spectrum, including TV signals and wireless microphones.
