MRI colonography can be an alternative to colonoscopy, study finds

MRI colonography accurately detects larger polyps that could lead to cancer but frequently misses smaller polyps, a new study shows. Researchers said colonoscopy likely will remain the preferred screening method because of its advantages in eliminating polyps detected during the procedure.
