GAO report finds shortcomings in TSA weapon-spotting program

TSA inspectors who pose as passengers do not record why individual screeners failed to spot weapons, according to a report by the Government Accountability Office. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., said the program, which aims to find gaps in airport screening, is "a waste of money." He plans to hold a hearing on the issue next month.
