Conn. residents question plans to redirect NYC-area air traffic

Local residents attended a public meeting last week on the FAA's plans to redirect air traffic in and out of New York and New Jersey airports across Fairfield, Conn. Some expressed frustration over the FAA's inability to discuss details of the redesign, and many described concerns about higher levels of noise and air pollution, but FAA officials were skeptical about the frequency and altitudes of low-flying planes.
