HRC offers funding, staff to defend marriage rights in Maine

The Human Rights Campaign has contributed $75,000 to Maine's "No on 1" effort to defeat an anti-marriage-rights referendum, and has provided staff to help local organizers. "Once we win here, we solidify New England, and that would be a terrific thing for not only New England, but our entire country," said Marty Rouse, HRC's national field director.
