How STEM instruction is getting a boost from technology

The use of technology has changed science, technology, engineering and math instruction, says Tina Barseghian, editor of the education technology blog MindShift. She writes that the use of smartphones, mobile applications and websites allow students to collaborate with each other and people worldwide. Teachers also are using technology to show students the real-world applications for classroom projects, and to replace traditional textbooks with more dynamic and interactive tools.
