Patients with diabetes may benefit from PCI

Patients with diabetes who underwent successful percutaneous coronary intervention had improvements on disease-related mortality and reduced need for coronary artery bypass surgery, a study in the American Journal of Cardiology found. However, more studies are needed to back the efficacy of the procedure, experts said.
