Study: Boosting certain enzymes may help prevent type 2 diabetes

Consuming a high-fat diet inhibited the function of proteins that release glucose-regulating GnT-4a enzymes, which resulted in type 2 diabetes in mice, a study found. The findings in Nature Medicine suggest that increasing the levels of GnT-4a enzymes may help prevent type 2 diabetes in humans, experts said.
