CN's $35M investment to support sand company's project

Canadian National's $35 million plan to reopen tracks in Wisconsin between Ladysmith and Barron is the result of an agreement between the Class I and Superior Silica Sands to haul sand for fracking. "Over the last three years, CN's frac sand market has grown nearly 70 percent, reaching 35,000 carloads," said Jean-Jacques Ruest, CN executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
