Overpass streamlines operations at CSX-, NS-served Ga. port

A new bridge outside the Port of Savannah's main gate complex has opened and will route traffic across six sets of railroad tracks at the Mason Intermodal Container Transfer Facility, which is served by Norfolk Southern and CSX. "This particular road project provides even stronger freight handling via road and rail to and from the fastest growing region of the United States," said Georgia Ports Authority Executive Director Curtis Foltz.
