Calif. city council suspends rules on parkway vegetable gardens

The Los Angeles City Council has put on hold ordinances that restrict cultivation of vegetable gardens on parkways of residential properties. The council has asked city agencies to suspend rules on parkway landscaping as officials work on measures. The council's decision indicates the city "supports better health and nutrition for all of its residents," resident Angel Teger said.
