Federal officials tout progress on clean energy

U.S. officials used this week's Clean Energy Summit to tout America's progress on new energy sources. U.S. Interior Secretary Sally Jewell had particular praise for a California geothermal electricity project, wind power leases off the East Coast and solar projects on publicly owned land. "We have now permitted 25 solar projects on public lands," Jewell said. "There were zero in 2009."
