Ill. district prepares to roll out new math curriculum

Adoption of a new math curriculum -- Everyday Mathematics -- in Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills School District 181 in Burr Ridge, Ill., will bring changes for students and teachers alike, said Kevin Russell, assistant superintendent for learning. Teachers will receive professional development and time for collaboration, Russell noted. Teachers also will be asked to keep an online record of students' progress to help the district track the success of the program.
