New loans for cars rise to $92B in Q2

New auto loans rose by $14 billion to $92 billion in the second quarter of this year, reports the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. In addition, student loan debt rose to $994 billion. Americans ages 18 to 29 are borrowing less frequently, partly because of student-loan debt, the report finds.
