Nokia leads push to map Belarus

It can be difficult to find reliable directions for driving through Belarus, where the government is protective of its mapping data. To alleviate that problem, cartographers affiliated with Nokia have been sweeping through the country, gathering details to include in the company's HERE mapping service. Similar inroads have also been made in Bosnia-Herzegovina, where geography students have made contributions to recent mapping efforts.
