Report: On-demand revenues to skyrocket as U.S. share diminishes

Consumers around the world are transitioning on-demand television platforms, according to a report from Digital TV Research that predicts sector revenues will increase 44% by 2018 thanks largely to robust demand in the Asia-Pacific region. The survey of television consumers in 97 countries found that North America and Western Europe accounted for nearly three-quarters of revenues in 2012, but predicts that the U.S. share of on-demand revenues will decline by 7 percentage points by 2018.
