Report: Premium subsidies will be accessible to 48% of policyholders

Premium subsidies for policies sold in Affordable Care Act exchanges will be available to approximately 48% of current individual policyholders, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation report released Wednesday. Families earning less than $94,000 yearly and individuals earning less than $46,000 per year will have access to the subsidies. However, Covered California estimated an average 30% increase in the premiums of many middle-income residents who are ineligible for the tax credits.
