Smartphones a fixture among clinical team

About 80% of health care providers use a smartphone daily, and that proportion is expected to reach 90% next year, an Epocrates survey of 1,063 health care providers found. Clinicians use smartphones most frequently to search for information, access professional resources and interact with colleagues; they use tablets most often to interact with electronic health records or prescribe drugs. Half of the respondents use a smartphone and a tablet as well as a laptop or desktop computer in their work.
