Survey: Landscape architecture firms may curb hiring due to uncertainty

Landscape architecture firms may slow down on hiring as the industry recovers from a weak economy, according to the 2013 Business Quarterly survey of the American Society of Landscape Architects in the second quarter. The survey found 84% of firms received stable or higher inquiries from potential clients in the second quarter, dropping from 86% in the first quarter. On a year-over-year basis, 63% of firms reported higher inquiries in the first quarter, making some companies hesitant to hire new employees.
