Texas health science center receives $45M grant to study PTSD

A $45 million grant from the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs will go toward the study of post-traumatic stress disorder at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. "At the end of this, we hope to have developed the most effective treatments possible for individuals who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan to help treat their PTSD to the point where they can function as productive military service members or citizens contributing back to our nation," said Dr. Alan Peterson.
