Device provides a tiny lab for testing drugs

A device the size of a computer memory stick incorporates living human cells and micro-engineering to mimic human organs. The Organs-on-Chips technology, under development at Harvard University's Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, is seen as a way to test pharmaceuticals efficiently and in real time without the use of animals.
