Mont. hearing highlights needs of Alzheimer's patients, caregivers

Sen. John Walsh, D-Mont., hosted a field hearing of the Senate Special Committee on Aging in Billings, where he heard about challenges faced by Alzheimer's patients and caregivers. Dr. Patricia Coon of the Montana Alzheimer's/Dementia Work Group said greater awareness and visibility are needed, along with the creation of dementia-friendly communities that offer coordinated care for patients and families.
