Experimental subjects spent 48% longer working on tasks when told they were working "together" with unseen others, researchers found. The mere mention of togetherness also increased workers' energy levels, accuracy, motivation and engagement. "Let 'together' be a constant reminder to your employees that they are not alone, helping them to motivate them to perform their very best," writes Heidi Grant Halvorson.
