Rep. Smith asks EPA to redo analysis on power plant proposal's impact

Rep. Lamar Smith, R-Texas, has written to EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy, saying the agency's emissions proposal for power plants is based on a faulty economic analysis. Smith urges the agency to conduct a new cost-benefit analysis by Sept. 15. He also wrote to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, asking that it also conduct an analysis of the proposal's economic effects.
