Post-Caesarean complications more common for women with HIV

HIV-positive women are 60% more likely to have complications, including maternal death, following a Caesarean-section than women who don't have HIV, according to a new study. Prenatal antiretroviral treatment and antibiotics during Caesarean delivery are seen as key preventive measures for morbidity.
