Study examines heart risks for diabetics

A study has gathered statistical data interpreting the increased risk of heart disease caused by diabetes, particularly for people with acute coronary syndromes. Researchers examined data on more than 62,000 people and said that 8.5% of diabetics die within 30 days of having a severe heart attack, compared to 5.4% of those who don't have diabetes.
