Union Pacific helps spread Operation Lifesaver safety message

Union Pacific hosted special passenger train rides from Kearney, Neb., as part of an Operation Lifesaver project. "The most important thing that we're trying to achieve with this is to help people understand the way that railroads operate, the way that trains operate so they know if they're in their vehicle coming up to a railroad crossing. They need to stop if a train is coming; they need to be attentive, watch for trains," Brenda Mainwaring of UP said.
