A new BASF herbicide known as "Pylex" could help curb the unwanted spread of Bermuda grass, writes Brad Fresenburg, turf specialist for the University of Missouri Extension. Bermuda grass is often popular for sports fields, but it can invade cool-season grasses and affect their appearance. The herbicide can be used for "tall fescue, Kentucky bluegrass and ryegrass," Fresenburg advised.
