Bubble serves as light-focusing lens at nanoscale

Laser-heated water on a surface of gold film can be used as a bubble-shaped lens to focus light beams at the nanoscale. The development -- the first plasmofluidic lens -- by researchers at several universities could be used as a tool to devise smaller and faster electronic circuitry.
