Can Twitter help you score lunch with Ellen DeGeneres?

Bryan Kramer of social agency PureMatter is nearing the end of a 90-day campaign in which he sought to win a lunch with Ellen DeGeneres using only social media tools. It's unclear whether Kramer's mission will succeed, writes Porter Gale, but the stunt has already helped illustrate social media's ability to erode barriers between celebrities and regular folks. "Regardless of the outcome, a round of applause to a creative effort and experiment that has already been a fun and entertaining success," Gale writes.
