India's grocery shoppers increasingly pick private label

Private-label brands from companies including Future Group and Reliance Retail account for about three-fourths of food sold in India's grocery stores, according to Nielsen. The report says private label has grown especially popular in categories where shoppers perceive little difference from major manufacturers' brands.
