About 40% of mobile users visiting Nordstrom's Hautelook site are executing transactions on their devices, Kevin Diamond, Hautelook chief technology officer, said at an eTail East session. With mobile accounting for as much as 60% of site visits, Diamond said, Hautelook can experiment with its marketing more than it can on desktops. "Now we can actually say, 'OK, does this work better for the person on the go? Does this work better for the person that wants to sit there and spend more time?' "
