Ohio middle school encourages parents to communicate with children, teachers

Educators at Grant Middle School in Marion, Ohio, during an orientation event encouraged parents to stay involved in their children's education by checking grades online through the school's website or by calling or e-mailing teachers. In addition to communicating with the school, educators also advised parents to communicate with their children. "Ask them everyday what they did in school," social-studies teacher Dawn Leydens said.
