R.I. summer math program goes to the dogs

Students taking part in Northern Lincoln Elementary School's Dog Days of Summer program say learning alongside the program's dogs makes learning math more fun. In one activity, the Rhode Island students learned about rounding to the nearest 10 when making dog treats. Program co-founder and teacher Deb Reddy said the program gets results. "We connect math to everything," she said, adding, "There's lots of different things to get them constantly thinking about math."
