Study looks at how weight, diabetes affect mortality risk

A study that included about 75,000 adults linked diabetes to a higher death rate, but also found that overweight people without diabetes had a higher death rate than did overweight people with the disease. Harvard School of Public Health researchers reported in the Journal of General Internal Medicine that the results suggest weight may affect mortality risk differently for people with diabetes than for those who do not have it.
