Survey: Many workers say 401(k)s surpass health insurance in complexity

More than half of the participants in a Charles Schwab survey said their 401(k) investment explanations are harder to understand than explanations of their health benefits. Forty-six percent of the 1,004 participants said they are unsure of which investments are best for them. Despite the lack of certainty, 70% of people said their 401(k)s are in the best shape they've ever seen, the survey found.
