Telehealth program to connect university's ICU docs with rural hospitals

Advanced ICU Care and the Medical University of South Carolina have collaborated on a telemedicine program that will link MUSC's intensive care doctors with health care professionals at rural hospitals. "For a patient in critical condition, this access can be the difference between life and death. This partnership will allow us to deliver better care in our local communities in the most cost-effective way," said Dr. Pat Cawley, vice president for clinical operations at MUSC.
